Advacam’s ModuPIX Tracker was designed with special emphasis to particle tracking which is often required in scientific research world. Two quick versatile ModuPIX modules are synchronized and put together, providing 3D particle tracking capability. Each module is a single Timepix device with quick parallel readout with up to 850 frames/ second. The independent USB 2.0 communication channel for each device assures uncompromised read-out speed of the complete system. All modules in the system can be operated synchronously and triggered independently. The thickness and type of sensor can be customized a s per requirements.
Advacam’s ModuPIX Tracker can prove to be useful in applications such as particle tracking, Time-of-flight imaging, multi-layer Compton camera, radiation monitoring and many other. The sensors can be modified for neutron imaging by depositing converter layers (6LiF). The spatial resolution in some applications, like thermal neutrons, can reach units of microns or even submicrometric level (ions).
